First let me apologize for being so slow to update lately. Things here have been a little crazy. I will be doing my best to update my blog this coming week.
A couple weeks ago we took Emma and Ammon to the state fair. It was Emma's second time there and Ammon's first. Emma loves the fair. She wants to try everything, talk to everyone and buy every single stuffed animal she sees. Ammon was less impressed. He just leaned back in his seat and napped pretty much the whole time we were there. We bought Emma a corn dog, cotton candy and the most amazing strawberry smoothies in the world! Matthew and I ate at a little Greek food truck and were served by the sweetest little old Greek women. They made some good food! Their gyros are the best tasting things at the fair in my opinion.
We didn't let Emma ride any rides this year because of her inability to hold still. I didn't want her falling off anything. We did take her to look at the animals which she loved. She adores the cows and sheep. Last year the pigs scared her but she actually seemed to enjoy them this time. Matthew also took her through to see the world's smallest pony. She didn't want to leave the exhibit. She cried and cried. We stopped at one of the games and Matthew won her a stuffed monkey. She carries it all around the house now.
I loved going to the fair with them. Next year we will be at the South Carolina State Fair! :D
