Military Day at the Zoo

Wow, it has been quite awhile since I posted. We have been crazy busy these last few weeks. This month they had military appreciation day at the zoo so we all went. Ammon handed been feeling well the last few days but he seemed to be doing well enough for the zoo. I was so happy we all got to go. The kids loved it!
Emma talked to all of the animals. She wanted to give the wolves hugs because they were "puppies!" and tried to climb out of the stroller to them. She thought the birds were hysterical. We couldn't figure out why but she would just laugh and laugh. It was too funny! I showed her the turtles and she took one look at them and looked back at me and said "Eww". Guess she didn't like them to much. The otters were my favorite.
Ammon didn't seem to be to interested in the animals. He was facsinated with watching the pavement go by and trying to pull Emma's hair. Typical little brother already! After we were done walking around we took the kids to the gift shop and bought Emma a stuffed frog and a ball for Ammon. Emma loved her frog and kept giving it hugs. She also wanted Ammon's ball so when we weren't looking she snatched it. Ammon didn't seem to mind. He loves to share with her. She ended up talking to him about it on the car ride home and gave it back. It was so sweet.
Of course no outing with Emma is complete unless you stop and buy her a hamburger. Anytime she sees a BK sign she starts yelling "NUM!" as loud as she can. She wants to make sure you see it too. We stopped at Wendy's and she ate two jr. bacon cheeseburgers! That girl can put away some food. She gets that from her dad.
I loved walking with them at the zoo and seeing the animals together. It was awesome that Matthew got to come too. They were both super tired and went right to sleep once we layed them down.
